My Florida Green announced significant expansions across the state for its medical marijuana certification platform. Originally launched in November 2016 with the passing of Amendment 2, My Florida Green has engaged with more than 3,000 patients regarding its elite physician network and exclusive, patient-friendly, HIPAA-compliant certification platform. With robust technology and excellent physicians, My Florida Green is setting the standard in care, compassion, and compliance with state regulations.
My Florida Green is currently serving patients in Naples, Palm Bay, Davie, Sarasota, St. Petersburg, and Tampa. Orlando and Pensacola are set to open in the second quarter of 2018 and plans call for statewide expansion throughout 2018 and beyond.
The primary mission of My Florida Green is to help people suffering from any one of 28 qualified medical conditions, or other conditions of “similar like, kind, or class,” with a natural and effective alternative to synthetic drugs in a discrete environment. Each of My Florida Green’s physicians are heavily vetted for quality, is licensed with Florida’s Office of Medical Marijuana Use, and meticulously follows all laws and legal protocols set forth by the State of Florida and Department of Health.
My Florida Green is one of the first companies to help patients navigate Florida’s medical marijuana process with a secure patient management platform. Patients simply register online, complete medical intake forms and schedule a physician visit. During the medical evaluation, the physician determines whether the patient qualifies and, if approved, enters the information into the state registry. My Florida Green handles all matters related to compliance and record-keeping for an initial $99 registration fee followed by a $199 fee for the doctor’s visit.
Once patients are approved by the Florida Office of Medical Marijuana Use, which requires approximately 2-4 weeks from the time of the visit, they may purchase medicine by visiting or scheduling delivery from one of Florida’s licensed medical cannabis dispensaries.
My Florida Green is committed to education and thought leadership via a free online community forum where patients can access research, seek support from others, host a personal web page, create and join Florida-based medical marijuana groups, manage friend requests, post photos and videos, and more.
“Healing naturally is the intent of medical marijuana and the reason we are in business. Over time, people often introduce toxics, drugs, alcohol and medications into their body which may lead to debilitation, illness and disease. By re-introducing cannabinoids into the endocannabinoid system via medical cannabis, it is possible to replenish it and create harmonic balance. That is the simplified version of medical marijuana. Florida is slowly accepting and adapting to the fact that medical marijuana is now legal in our state and we are pleased to be on the forefront of patient care,” said My Florida Green Founder and Chief Executive Officer Nick Garulay.
